Collaborative Care:
Understanding Your Child's Behavior
At 2020 Behavior, we believe in empowering families with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive. Our Collaborative Care programs are for all families who want to:
- Build stronger connections with their children.
- Gain effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
- Create a more positive and peaceful home environment.
- Foster their child’s emotional intelligence and resilience.
- Navigate developmental stages with confidence and understanding.
While we primarily provide ABA services, our Collaborative Care programs are open to all families, regardless of whether your child has an autism diagnosis.
What sets Collaborative Care apart?
Child-Centered Approach: We focus on understanding your child’s individual needs and developmental stage, rather than simply addressing challenging behaviors.
Positive and Collaborative: We believe in working together as a team. Our guidance is supportive, non-judgmental, and tailored to your family’s unique dynamics.
Practical Strategies: Gain effective strategies and tools to navigate everyday challenges, encourage positive behaviors, and strengthen communication.
Lasting Impact: Develop skills that will benefit your family for years to come, fostering resilience, emotional intelligence, and strong parent-child bonds.
Working with Your Child's Village
We understand that a child’s well-being is influenced by everyone in their life. That’s why we encourage collaboration and will happily work with all members of your child’s “village,” including:
- Extended family members: Grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.
- Caregivers: Nannies, babysitters, etc.
- Educators: Teachers, therapists, etc.
By working together, we can create a consistent and supportive network for your child.
Expert Guidance from Experienced BCBAs
Our Collaborative Care programs are led by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with extensive experience in child development, behavior analysis, and family support. They are passionate about helping families understand their children’s behavior and create positive change.
Why BCBAs?
BCBAs have specialized training in:
- Understanding behavior: They can identify the reasons behind challenging behaviors and develop effective strategies for addressing them.
- Positive behavior support: They use evidence-based techniques to teach new skills and encourage positive behaviors.
- Individualized approaches: They tailor their guidance to each family’s unique needs and goals.
- Collaboration and support: They work closely with families to create a supportive and empowering environment.
- Pivotal Response Training (PRT): They utilize this play-based, child-led therapy to increase motivation and responsiveness, leading to widespread improvements in areas like communication and social interaction.
